This Saturday, join DC Tastemakers and Social Connectors at an innovative social media ‘tweet-up’ at the Helix Hotel  {1430 Rhode Island Avenue, NW} on March 27, 2010 starting at 4pm. A unique host committee has put together a no-frills networking event with the intent of high impact results.

DC WIN is excited to lead the charge for new and improved networking in 2010 and is happy to promote this event as a part of the Blackberrys & Business Cards Networking Series. Enjoy happy hour specials from 5-7pm including half priced beers, burgers, and specific cocktails.

The event will also be a reception for the Hip Hop Cinema Café following the viewing of Copyright Criminals, a film by Benjamin Franzen, presented by The solSource Group, ITVS and the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. We encourage you to view the film at it’s showing (Saturday 2-5pm) at the Historical Society of Washington,  801 K Street, NW at Mount Vernon Square. Come on over after the viewing.

We will also be collecting clothing donations to support the Moore Family of Maryland who was devastated by fire. The family consists of Katrina Moore (mother) with two boys (age: 1 &18 years old) & two girls (ages: 12 & 16 years old).

Please consider a clothing donation to meet the following needs: 

1 Year Old Boy: Diapers- size 5; lactose free baby formula, Size 2T clothes, Shoes size 6

12 Year Old Girl: Juniors, size 5, Medium size shirts, Shoes size 16 youth 

16 Year Old Girl: Small shirts, Jeans size 30 inseam, Shoes size Women 7.5  

18 Year Old Boy: Pants size 32, inseam 32; Medium shirts, Shoes size Men 7.5

Adult Female: Women's size 12, Large shirts, Shoes size Women 7.5 

*DC WIN will not be prepared to take monetary donations at this time.
